Am I required to have RV insurance?

In the state of Minnesota, you’re required to have insurance in order to use public roads. If you have a motor home or other RV that runs and drives, you’ll need insurance. If you have a travel trailer or pull behind camper, the liability insurance from the vehicle used to pull it makes you legal. Keep in mind that only the liability coverage transfers so if you need physical damage coverage on your RV, you’ll need to purchase a policy separate from your vehicle to cover it.
